ITALIAN EXPERTISE

Elios was founded in 1977 in response to Morosini's friends' requests and competition divers for a wetsuit like the ones he made for himself. Originally a tailor by trade, and too poor to buy a wetsuit off-the-shelf at the time, Morosini sourced leftover neoprene material from manufacturers to create his own wetsuits.

He continued to refine his tailoring approach, establishing a tradition of constant improvement for the team today. As word spread among the worldwide diving community, Elios became the go-to brand for those who take their adventures in the water seriously.

The craftsmanship behind the perfect cut of Elios suits is a closely-held secret. Today specialist tailors continue to create suits of exceptional quality for the same family business, working with trusted distributors such as Elios Australia to provide local support.

THE ELIOS PROCESS / TIMELINE

01. Shop online

Select your neoprene and any other add-ons in our online store. Complete the checkout process.

02. Measure

Once we receive your order, we will send you a measuring guide and form. It'll take only 10 min to measure, and we can also video call with you. If you are in Sydney, we can organise for us to do your measurements.

03. Accuracy checks

Once you complete your measurements and return it to us, we will check all measurements here and in our workshop in Italy. 99% of our customers get it right first time!

04. Crafting

Once your measurements are confirmed, we will begin to cut and craft the neoprene to fit you perfectly. This takes about 4-5 weeks to complete.

05. Delivery

Once the wetsuit is ready, we will ship it direct to you from Italy. Delivery timelines can range from 2 to 6 weeks depending on the carrier you choose.

06. Dive!

Suit up and feel the difference instantly! Once in an Elios, you will never look back. It will change everything you experience in the water.

Wetsuits work by trapping water next to your skin. Too loose, and there's flush. Too tight, and you compress the neoprene and bloodflow. Custom-fit means it sits perfectly on you, minimising compression and flush, for maximum warmth. It's so good that we have customers that take our wetsuits to 0 degree water. No need for fancy linings, underlayers or semi-dry suits.

We curate every neoprene we use. If you have ever fought to get into a wetsuit, there's a reason why - apart from not being fitted to you, many cheaper wetsuits use low-quality neoprenes - losing flexibility and comfort. Every neoprene we stock has been chosen for its quality, even for our entry-level range.

Elios master tailors have spent 40 years refining their cuts and techniques, bringing proprietary method that no others have been able to replicate. If you're the rare 1% of customers that didn't get the fit right first time, we will help you rectify the issues. Alterations and return shipping is free of charge. You'll just need to organise for shipping back to our master tailors in Italy, for quality control.
